About Mrs. B.Webb

Hi! I'm Mrs. B.Webb, a newly acquired name as of about a year ago, when I married a certain stud.

I started blogging a few years ago as Wild Veg, but had a growing desire to expand my "Webb" (ha) to include my running experiences.

I have always loved to run, and it's been a part of me since Junior High, when I started track doing the mile and 800 m runs. It's such a release for me, and I feel like I work out a lot of problems or stress factors when I'm on the run.

Aside from running some random 5 and 10k races in college, it never occurred to me that I could run a half or full marathon. It had always been more of a personal activity, something I did when I need a positive boost in my life or a shot of exercise. Gradually, I started researching more of my racing options to see what this other side of jogging was all about.

I discovered blogs and adjusted to the notion that running can be more than jogging. You can run with thousands (millions!) of other people, share the camaraderie, and get some sweet swag by running races. Not only that, but training plans actually excited me. I love having something to refer to so I can stay on track and plan accordingly, which is exactly what a marathon-training schedule is.

I ran my first half-marathon, the Rock and Roll in Seattle, in June 2011 and finished in 1:47. I wanted more! My first marathon arrived in October 2012 in Poulsbo, WA, and I loved all 3 hours and 53 minutes of it, despite the fact that it left me feeling like this:

I also make vegetarian, gluten-free food since my better half is allergic to wheat. There will be many recipe guest appearances on here as well, so please try 'em out and let me know what you think! I ran my food blog for awhile, so feel free to check that out.

Finally, thanks for visiting! You can get in touch with me at britt.a.webb (at) gmail (dot) com. I would love to hear from you!
